1. About these terms

These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the Airsoft Hub website and services. Airsoft Hub is operated by [COMPANY NAME], of [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). By registering or using the site you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Airsoft Hub is a marketplace where members advertise airsoft equipment to other members. We are a listing platform only.

2. Who can use Airsoft Hub

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to register, post a listing or contact other users. You must give accurate information and keep your account details and password secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Our role: buyers and sellers deal directly

We do not own, sell, inspect or take payment for items listed by members, and we are not a party to any sale. Any contract for the sale of an item is between the buyer and the seller. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or description of any item, or that a buyer or seller will complete a transaction, and we are not responsible for postage, payment disputes or returns between members.

Sellers who sell in the course of a business must comply with consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and should make clear that they are a trader. Private sellers are still responsible for describing items accurately. Please read our staying safe advice before you buy or sell.

4. Listing rules and airsoft law

When you post a listing you promise that you own the item (or are authorised to sell it), the description and photos are accurate, and the sale is lawful. In particular:

• You may only sell realistic imitation firearms and airsoft replicas (RIFs) to buyers who are 18 or over, and you must not sell or advertise them in a way that breaches the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 or the Firearms Act 1968.
• Sellers of airsoft guns are responsible for making sure the item is not a real or converted firearm, does not exceed the legal power limits, and is only sold to a buyer who is 18 or over and who can lawfully buy it (for example, a member of a registered skirmish site or a business that holds the required authorisation, where the law requires this).
• You must not list real firearms, ammunition, deactivated firearms, replica or imitation weapons intended to be used unlawfully, explosives, knives or other offensive weapons, stolen goods, counterfeit items or anything illegal to sell in the UK.
• Listings must not contain misleading claims, offensive content, personal data about others or links to other sales sites.
• We may edit, hide or remove any listing, and may cancel accounts, at our discretion where we think these Terms or the law have been broken.

5. Fees and featured listings

Basic listings are free. We may charge for optional services such as featured listings. The price, duration and VAT (if applicable) are shown before you pay. Payment is taken securely by Stripe.

Where you buy a digital or time-limited service and ask us to start it straight away, you agree that the service begins immediately and that you may lose your 14-day right to cancel once it has been fully provided. If a service is provided in part and you cancel within 14 days you will pay for what has been provided. Fees are otherwise non-refundable unless the law says otherwise or we made an error.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the text and photos you post, but you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce and promote them on and in connection with Airsoft Hub for as long as they are on the site. You must have the right to post everything you upload, and it must not infringe anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the site to harass, threaten or defraud anyone, send spam, scrape data, interfere with the site's security or operation, create fake accounts or feedback, or take a conversation off-site to avoid these Terms in order to commit fraud. Feedback must be honest and based on a real transaction. You can report a listing or user using the report tools on the site.

8. Suspension and ending your account

You can close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close an account, and remove content, if you break these Terms, we suspect fraud or illegal activity, or where required by law or by the police. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as liability and governing law) survive after your account ends.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that, we are not liable for: the conduct of members or the quality, safety or legality of items; losses from transactions between members; loss of profit, business, data or goodwill; or indirect or consequential loss. The site is provided "as is", we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or £100 if you have paid us nothing). If you are a consumer, this does not affect your statutory rights.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in our services. The current version will always be on this page and, where changes are significant, we will notify you. If you keep using the site after a change takes effect you accept the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live, and if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory laws where you live.
