The SCAR-L. The ugly gat you love to hate, hate to love. So ugly you can't not look, like watching those videos over and over where people paralyze themselves, and you can't stop. You have to watch one more. That's the SCAR, the hyena of the firearm kingdom.

I was building an FDE rendition for a teammate, and I thought this thing is so ugly yet so strangely attractive, I've got to have one, so I take special pride in how sexy this one is. Externally it's straight up original with deliberate hand weathering, with only the addition of a Magpul vertical grip and VFC steel muzzle device in an original FN style. Internally it's a 'rat rod'. The gearbox has been re-built with all new compression parts; the nozzle, cylinder, cylinder head, piston, and piston head replaced with mostly SHS or Angel Custom parts. Gears are standard ratio SHS or Rocket, re-shimmed. It has a GATE mosfet in the stock (a special kind of hell to install on SCARs, I'm still in therapy), and the MAXX SV Hop-up and nozzle combination, mated to a Madbull 6.03mm tightbore barrel. It's a hyena that shoots fast and straight at a little under 1.5 joules.
